Love taking my kids here as there is two options for them, it's great to have a sand area adjacent to the pools. The only thing that isn't good is that there are not enough disabled carparks near the baths. On occasions I have sat in the car and my wife has taken the kids down to the pool, as... More

Wether you're a photographers, a swimmer or just out with the family for a quick dip, the baths offer so much for everyone and just a few meters away from some beach side cafes. What a great asset to Newcastle... Lucky devils :)

Fabulous views and atmosphere ! Swim, coffee, showers and more. Go for a walk, have a swim and enjoy the positive vibes of being near the ocean.

We gazed in wonder at the Merewether Baths, a rare attraction and seaside feature where we come from. A taste of yesteryear in a sense, beautiful place.

Great for kids and free of charge. Parking pretty good. Shallow end has sand on the bottom which is nice. Plenty of sun so take Sunscreen and hat. Ground space is limited as are the shady spots. Water is fresh and not slimy like some baths we've been to. Not much to buy so bring your water and snacks but... More

The baths a a really nice. A natural rock pool with some assistance to create a boundary. I like to swim there if the surf is rough

One of my favourite places in Newcastle - the lovely Merewether Ocean Baths. It does get really busy so parking may be an issue so go prepared that you may have a little walk. A definate 'must do/see' on your Newcastle itinerary.

A lovely visit to Merewether Baths. Parking is very difficult. You will probably need to walk 5-10 mins.

I grew up at these baths but now I can't get a car park. It's a good place to ride a bike to, and there is a great bike and walking path all the way along the coast from Newcastle.

A wonderful place to swim, particularly if the pool, has recently been cleaned out. The biggest disadvantage is the limited parking as on a good day, the baths are very crowded and parking is difficult.
