Really nice building, not to many people and the kids loved it. Great kiosk and we took a stroll down to the kiwi ice cream shop for an ice cream at Zara st, watched the surf for a while and strolled back.

I believe the baths were built in the 1920's in an art deco style. The building is beautiful and the baths themselves are huge. There is a multi-lane exercise pool, a large pool for relaxing and a shallow, round children's pool. There are covered places...More

We walked from the Bogey Hole to the Newcastle Baths where we stopped for some breakfast at the kiosk inside. Had brekki and coffee sitting out on covered veranderah whilst watching the Locals enjoy this wonderful pool. It has a really big general area and...More

A great place to visit. Find parking along the streets. The baths have more than one area-we just went to the child’s beach and pool; shallow 4 inches after the tide goes out (deeper further out towards the ocean end) and the water gets comfortably...More

Another great opportunity to cool down on a very hot day in the heart of Newcastle. Well laid out, clean, and plenty of room, this salt water baths is a must do. No change rooms near by so you need to improvise when changing.

It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon well spent, very sunny but cold and windy. Though the train ride from Sydney central to Newcastle was bit long but it's worth it. Somehow managed to jump in the ocean bath pool but couldn't stay long enough due...More

Just popping through on way to Sydney. Beautiful historic baths. Kept clean and the bottom is sandy. Quite shallow so good for the oldies too who walk in it for exercise.

Something for everyone. From a Tide pool for a curious kid, to an enclosed beach for small kids, a saltwater ocean pool, change rooms and showers and beautiful views including a local dolphin pod. Loved this place, could have spent a couple days here!
