This was a great starter Preserve to visit and appeared to be VERY child friendly. It was a nice combination of Park & Animal Habitat; though appear to be lacking in animal department compared to some other places visited and had limited interaction with the inhabitants.

Visited recently with locals and was blown away with this place. If you didn't know better you'd think it was just another bush reserve. Well set out with bird and wildlife enclosures in a walk through the canopy. Reptile display @ $2.50 each was great for kids and adults. Fantastic picnic area with plenty of cover and a nice large... We took our 1 year old, and it was so easy to take him around in the pram. We had a lovely picnic on the grass and watched the peacocks. He loved seeing all the animals, but my husband enjoyed taking him around even more. The only thing that was a shame, was the playground equipment got to hot in... More

This is a great local attraction. Heaps of space and things to keep the kids happy. BBQ areas are brill. Of course the animals are the main draw card :-)

Options of bbq or bring your own food. A little kiosk but only sells chips, ice creams and drinks, closes early as well. Grounds are well maintained, animals to see and a good play area for the kids.

What a great place to take the kids. Excellent facilities, including shelters, clean toilets, native animals to feed, kiosk and large play areas for the kids. Can be very busy on the weekends and parking can be difficult, but a cheap and enjoyable outing can be had.
