What an amazing place! Beautiful board walk tour with incredible animal enclosures! Would recommend this to anyone, especially families & animal lovers! For a completely free couple of hours (except the parking ticket, which helps fund the reserve itself & is perfectly reasonable) it was fantastic!

We held a combined birthday Father's Day party at Blackbutt it was fabulous. We booked one of the shelter areas and had catering delivered. The staff were very helpful and the activities for the kids were amazing. Absolutely go back. Terrific venue.

It has been a number of years since I visited Blackbutt's recreation area. I was very impressed. I was initially reluctant to pay the $8 parking fee but after wandering the area with my grandchildren I could see that the money was being spent wisely. The area was well maintained and the animal enclosures were well kept and clean. The... More

Very impressed with the wildlife exhibits. I have visited a number of times as Blackbutt is close to my home, however before this last visit I had not done the raised boardwalk wildlife exhibit. I remember seeing koalas a few years ago however now there are so many animals to see. The children thought feeding the ducks and turtles was... More

A good place to visit with kids. Well presented natural wildlife exhibit. Stroller accessible walks are a rarity as well, so a nice place to do a little bushwalk with a baby. Otherwise, there are probably much better walks around the area... But a good set up for a family trip to do a picnic and there are places for... More

Spent a couple of hours here today. A really nice reserve. You only pay for parking which is reasonable. There are different talks about the animals which they charge for. There is a play park for children and also picnic area.
