This place really has whatever you need to create an amazing cheese board. They have anything you could imagine from cheese to crackers to jams to pickles to pates... everything! You can pick out individual cheeses and all the condiments for your board, but if you're in a hurry or get overwhelmed by the options, they also sell some affordable... More

We had a lovely visit to Hunter Valley Smelly Cheese Shop. They have a large range of expensive cheeses. They have a special refrigeration room full of cheeses. You can pay $3.50 for some cheese sampling (very very small portions). Staff are friendly. They sell crackers, jams, wafer biscuits, etc. as well.

I can personally recommend the caramelised onion and thyme cheese, but there are lots of great things on sale here - just browsing the shelves is fun. It's not huge and can get to be quite a jostle if there are a lot of people around, but even so it's worth a visit. Very friendly staff.

The cheese tasting was a waste of time. We went with a group of friends and a very young guy, with not much personality took us through a handful of soft cheeses. They all seemed to be very similar. Didn't offer a cracker to have with it. Only a sample on a ice cream stick. Got a bit much after... More

We arrived during peak time, but I guess its always peak time at The Smelly Cheese Shop. We ducked into the cheese room for some supplies (and to escape the hordes gorging on samples) but missed out on nice bread - go early if you don't want to settle for crackers with your camembert. The selection of accompaniments to have... More

Despite arriving late for our schedule time for cheese and olive tasting, Sharon (Zsa Zsa) was very efficient at making us feel welcome and sorting out the tasting session. Nice complement of olives snd cheeses that we sampled. She was very attentive to our needs especially with one of us having nut and sesame intolerances. Gelato was great as well!

We came here on recommendation of reviewers here. The pork belly roll is highly recommended...great value!. Plenty of pork belly pieces and pieces of crunchy crackling. Yum!

If you are having wine then you should have cheese. Now this is the place in the Hunter Valley to get it. The range is vast and easy to move about like a supermarket. Opening Hours – Mon - Sun 10am – 5pm with plenty of parking. There are also other items such as lollies, cheese boards, chutney, delicatessen items... More
