Of the numerous cellar doors we visited in the Hunter, Scarborough was the absolute standout. Beautiful, understated property, and cellar door, where you sit at a table, with a very nice complimentary cheese platter, and get to taste the entire range of wines, including the premier wines, free of charge. Plenty of staff who are very well versed in the... More

I tried wine tasting at a couple of places in Pokolbin. This place beat the other one hands down. 1. They do not charge anything for tasting 2. They have 3 rounds (with 12-15 wines I guess) of tasting and comes with you having seated on the table 3. They also spend a lot of time explaining the types of... More

It was one of our random winery visits, but we were surprised with the tasting experience. 12 wines on the list, complimentary cheese plate, friendly and helpful sommelier - all for free. Add nice scenary (it's Hunter, baby) and tranquil location with less crowds than in other places.

A definite must for anyone visiting the Hunter Valley. A very different experience to all of the other cellar doors as you are sat at a table with a great comprehensive explanation of all the wines you are able to taste. Cheers & crackers were included in the tasting & wild Kangaroos were jumping past the window. The most beautiful... More

We were seated and helped immediately. We tasted about 12 wines poured 4 at a time so we could compare. Really unique wines! Great staff, great wine, great prices. One of the best wineries we visited!

The very professional Josh whisked us through an incredibly organised list of wines with accompanying brochure with info and prices - so it was an easy task following and selecting ! They really have it sorted at Scarborough - we were time stretched so great for us ! Loved the... More

Our family visit to Scarborough was almost up there with the later trip we took to the Tyrrell's Winery. The Scarborough winery is situated in a beautiful elevated area of the glorious Pokolbin region. Beautiful garden and lawn areas surround the picturesque setting of the main building housing the tasting rooms and sales area. This is definitely a winery to... More

This really is a must-do if you are in the area. One of the nicest wine tasting experiences you could wish for, good wines, knowledgeable guide and a plate of cheeses. Make sure you go to the top carpark and see the stunning views. Teenage daughter couldn't join in the tasting but there are giant Jenga and similar distractions in... More

Very beautiful cottage-style cellar door with stunning gardens and views. Sit down wine tasting is a must, best wine tasting experience in the Hunter by far. It's very hands on and you dont feel like you have to rush. Also if it helps - none of my girlfriends drink Chardonnay and they all loved the Scarborough wines. All of them... More
