Calais Estate is a family owned and run boutique winery in the Hunter Valley that is famous for it's great wine and hospitality. Calais is home to one of the largest ranges of boutique wines in the Valley as well as the renown Verandah Restaurant and Come What May, a vintage modern homewares store.Eat in the restaurant or one of our numerous picnic spots, ride or walk the wine eco-trail between the 6 Palmers Lane Cellar Doors, Shop and enjoy great wine all at Calais.Cellar Door is open 7 days a week, 9am-5am. Verandah Restaurant open for lunch and dinner Thursday-Sunday. Come What May is open Thursday-Sunday, 10am–5pm.

We had a wonderful afternoon at Calais Estate hosted by Jo, Katrina, Zoe, Lara and the staff at the Verandah restaurant. The winery tour was very educational and interactive and we all learnt something new! The food for lunch was amazing with the matching wines....More

Lovely Cellar door experience. Very helpful & friendly staff. The outlook of the property is exquisite and makes for some gorgeous photo opportunities. I will definitely be back again.

A birthday present from my wife. Morning spent looking behind the scenes and disgorging, doseing and sealing my own custom bottle of bubbly. A beautiful lunch at the restaurant with wonderful matched foods and wines. The staff were brilliant. Highly recommend.
