The wines are of very good quality. The restaurant was not up to standard expected of such a good little winery. Soufle was overcooked and heavy. Baguette of the day came on a sesame bread stick.

The experience I had at Cassegrain was wonderful & everything I wished for! The meals were delicious and the service was excellent. I would recommend any of the spaces for Wedding events. I organised a fairly casual lunch in the restaurant for my close family and we were able to take lovely family photos in the gardens. Carolyn & the... More

Great winery with a nice selection of wines, I really liked the Rose and Verdelo. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable, they were easy going and not snobby and didn't mind the kids coming in. They even had a couch with some games for the kids to play while we tasted the wine. Definitely worth a visit!

What a wonderful reward, we had often driven past but not stopped thinking we were not dressed up enough or that getting food would take too long but yesterday on our way home we were exhausted and needed to rest so went in and were really amazed. The staff at the restaurant were lovely, so friendly and helpful and the... More

We have driven past for many years and never stopped....glad we finally did. The cellar door is very inviting and interesting as you walk through the barrells into the tasting area. There was a vast range for tasting and wonderful service. needless to say we walked away with some wonderful wine.

We undertook a wine tour and tasting at Cassegrain. The tour was very informative and the wine offered during the tasting was extensive. The restaurant associated with the winery is well-priced with great food. Well-worth a visit. Great semillons.

Visiting family up in Port Macquarie over New Years we decided to try out some of the local wineries. Cassegrain is roughly 18minutes drive from town centre. The grounds are quite large and offer lovely garden walks, picnic areas, a fairly priced café/restaurant. We didn't eat here but we did enjoy a tasting. Walking down into the cellar you're greeted... We have been to a number of wineries in both Australia and Europe. Cassegrain is relatively small but the tour was very interesting and our guide was both friendly and knowledgeable. We had a relatively simple lunch - an excellent steak burger and a seafoot sampler. My oysters were possibiliy but best I have ever tasted. Finally the wines -... More
