Once you have looked around this Walk A Mile music attraction you realise how many Australian musicians have been involved in the Country & Western music industry for almost 100 years. The displays, information relating to the artist and their music is excellent even coming from a person who doesn't really listen to this music. I'm glad I visited Tamworth... More

This is a must see on your visit through Tamworth. Full of interesting information centred around Country Music and the people that made it famous. Mandy C

One must definitely visit this Australian Country Music Hall of Fame. This place contains a wealth of Australian country music information from the 1920s to present day. The exhibits are well presented and the staff very informative. I spent one hour there and entry was only $7. A must do when in Tamworth, the country music capital!

Even though we are not big country music fans this museum was very interesting. A must do in Tamworth. The old videos and photos of performers were the highlight. Displays of old recording equipment and costumes made the visit very worthwhile. Note they only accept cash.

The Staff were very accomodating to making us feel at home and made my job a lot easier :) born and raises in Tamworth... More

A little disappointed in this display seeing Tamworth IS the country music capital of Australia. Tex Morton fans will probably find it interesting as there is considerable memorabilia on display relating to his country music career. Personally I was surprised there was very little on Australian artists including the iconic Slim Dusty. Venue is located near Hungary Jacks on Peel... More

This exhibition is really well displayed, especially with all the cabinet displays, lighting and audio. We enjoyed the old footage of entertainers through to the current era of musicians. The volunteers here do a marvellous job.

I'm no country music fan but really enjoyed the museum. I wish we'd had more time. This museum is run by volunteers and deserves a visit. My only complaint is that it was hard to find. It could benefit from some more directional signage.
