This was our second visit after several years and we found it to be still beautiful. While we were too early for many flowers the tranquility is wonderful. A must see and credit to those who care for it.

The Japanese Gardens are a hidden gem of Toowoomba. Located on the University of Southern Queensland Grounds about 5km south of the CBD, they make you feel like you are stepping in to a genuine Japanese landscape. This is by far the most interesting garden...More

The entry fee is a gold coin donation but the cost would be worth a whole lot more for the benefits you receive. When walking on the little path, that snakes through the trees by the little babbling brook, it would be easy to believe...More

Although August is the tail end of winter the experience was still great. In spring it would be even better. Lovely gardens and places to sit quietly and enjoy the serenity

Gardens in Toowoomba are always beautiful, but the Japanese Garden was not one I had heard about before - yet it is spectacular and peaceful, full of life and harmony. Must see and must stroll. I have already recommended to friends :)

Well looked after gardens, be nice if more seating was available, but nice gardens. Good parking. Don't forget to bring some bread to feed the ducks!

This effect is achieved through meticulous attention to detail, and bespeaks a genuine desire for friendship and understanding with Australians...More

There is no entrance fee for the Japanese garden. There is a donation box but I honestly haven't seen anyone put anything in it for years. Well worth a look.

Dog are permitted within the Japanese Garden, but must be on a leash at all times. The dog owner is also required by using an appropriate scoop and bag to remove any droppings. :)
