Nice pier. Good for fishing. The beach is spacious, clean and good for swimming. Close to the Glenelg Surf Lifesaving Club, restaurants, cafes, shops, trams and the Marina.

On a beautiful evening after a hot day, Glenelg is likely to have lots of people out and about, just relaxing. The pier is one such place where people are happy to walk and watch the scenery unfold around them from anglers on the pier...More

This is a lovely pier to wander out onto after lunch and look back at the beach - if it is blustery but warm it is very pleasant.

Lovely pier to amble along after lunch, take in the sites of the boats or the sea, Lots of restaurants, with fresh local fish dishes. Lots to choose from! Public toilets a little harder to find.

Being biased it is difficult as we live on Tweed which is five minutes from beautiful beaches. Lived in Adelaide for 30 years and thought the beaches great so travellers will do so too.

We found this pier, the beach and the surrounding area to be very a very clean and tidy area with good facilities and well worth a look even if not swimming or fishing.

I do not think that the area is renowned for art works, but it is nice for a visit, perhaps a visit to the galley in the city would be the go there is a tram.
