It is a lovely lake, but just be aware that it isn't always blue, especially in the winter. There are some nice lookouts.

Although it was not blue when we visited, it had an eerie feeling while standing on top of an extinct volcano in the middle of a drizzle. What a wonderful experience we had.

The blue lake will still be nice, and it will be a more vibrant blue than your average lake for sure, but it is certainly it's most impressive from November-Feb. As for Adelaide, in Feb you can expect periods where the... More
