Poor service. Some of the exhibits where extremely poorly. Tiny birds cages for some of the birds they were dark and not suitable to look in. Looked more like a stamp collection a child had grown from than someone that loved educating its guests. Chickens and ferrets in unplugged toys stands. It's a place you will mange very well without... More

At first sight I thought nothing of this place. However once we started to wander around we found it quite interesting. The man who runs it was very friendly and was rather informative. Too many birds locked up but the feeding of the devils was worth a look and our Grand daughter loved the Jarrasic type park. We ended up... More

Great for adults and children of all ages. Was rather interesting to see and learn about all the different animals. Highly recommend this place to anyone. The Dinos were so life like.

Easily the most dismal zoo experience I've ever had. The animals were not well looked after, in bland cages and featureless exhibits. Missing animals replaced with plastic replicas!! Very expensive for the standard on display, and staff unhelpful

Took my niece and her best friend, who are visiting, to our fabulous LOCAL Tasmanian Zoo for a visit. What a great place !! It is a must see for all tourists. The entry fee of $28 is incredibly reasonable for the opportunities offered, the quality of the exhibits and the obvious care and upkeep of these beautiful animals. BUT... More

On entering the zoo, I thought we had wasted our money only to be really impressed and happy. The zoo is very real. Very close encounters with unique native Australian animals make this zoo fantastic. It's privately run so the money is worthy. Highly recommend this place.

Okay, this Zoo isn't the mainstream kind of zoo. So if you are expecting big flashy cages and big touristy style, then you will be surprised. Not to far out of Launceston, set on a farm style setting, this Zoo whilst looking a bit old and tired, was well laid out and over a large area. I loved the collection... More

Our visit to the zoo was wonderful. The staff were warm & welcoming and our guide Bridie was very knowledgable in her job, demonstrating genuine love & care for the animals. All of the animals were lively and alert, from the cockatoos talking to the devils & others soaking up the sun rays on a beautiful, temperate day. My husband... More
