Nice park, not a lot of animals, needs some more shady spots to stop as it was very hot. A little overpriced for the experience. Café was nice

This is a must see. You can get up very close to all of the animals. We have a 9, 7 and 4 year old, and all 3 of them thought it was fantastic. It is a lot better than the bigger zoo type places.

A trip up north to Ballarat from Geelong was well rewarded by our wonderful experience at BWP. Park perfectly sized for active boys keen to run off from Dad but easily found or sighted after a mere 2 minute search ! Set on a hill with well-designed circuits, BWP delights with great range of Australian animals, birds and lizards, the... More

I heard great things about this park, so we came here for a day out and to visit the park. It was a 34 degree heat day, very hot Yes it does cost a bit to enter the park, I showed my RACV card and got a discount. $4 for Kangaroo food. When you enter Kangaroos will literally come up... More

We had a wonderful day here during the school holidays. We went mid week and came just in time for the 11am tour. I think Taz was our tour guide. She was fantastic! Educational and humorous. We all loved her (middle aged parents, 15YO, 12YO). The biggest highlight is the numerous free ranging kangaroos. They are delighted to be hand... More

we took overseas visitors to this park, brilliant day, we did the tour with the animal keeper, very informative very relaxed tour, we then went round the park at our own pace, plenty of animals to see and feed. very reasonably priced, ate at the café, very good prices for food.

I could go on and on about this place. It made many of my dreams come true. You get to interact with the friendly kangaroos everywhere you turn. There are so many kangaroos! The photos we took were epic. Their close-up encounter with a koala was significantly better than Healesville Sanctuary's, and the staff was so friendly and encouraging to... More

Visited Ballarat Wildlife Park over the Christmas period. I think it was a little expensive, but wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends. We paid $40 to have an up close experience with a koala which was fantastic. It was shorter than I expected, but as I am a huge lover of koalas I was happy to pay it. There isn't... More

Guess what...my dream comes true...yaaaayyy I can pet, feed and take lots of pictures with kangaroos...we paid for koalas encounter as well for AUD 40 as they are not really friendly with people (actually), so we have to be accompanied with...
