This venue is in Geelong which is about 1 hour by car/train/bus from central Melbourne. Geelong is the second largest "city in the State of Victoria. This stadium is best know as the home of the Aussie Footy League (AFL) team "Geelong Cats". AFL is substantial in Australia and this stadium is excellent given the size and population of Geelong.... Simonds Stadium is the home of the Geelong Cats, the successful Australian Football League (AFL) team. It is one of only three stadiums in Victoria used for AFL games. The ground is also known as Kardinia Park, renowned for being a lion's den for opposing teams. Geelong is a provincial city about an hour by car southwest of Melbourne. It's... More

The fans can be feral when Geelong is playing a different team I have been spat on sworn at things thrown at be (and I had two young children with me). But I have also been at the bistro and the meals are nice

What a stadium! Regional Australia' best stadium the home of the mighty Geelong Cats. The stadium is currently undergoing a $91 million refurbishment and will accommodate up to 36500 once completed in May 2017. Wish to see more sports more often. Great spot to watch AFL football and I am sure it will be a great sport to watch T20... More

Simmonds, in my experience gives the true feeling and passion of the Geelong football club and its supporters. The bars are aplenty and easily accessible. The crowd are friendly and hospitable. Always a good afternoon out for any footy AFL fan.

Seats are up high and view is mostly undisturbed! Glad some more food options are coming to the higher level to avoid the long walk back down for decent food. Bar now takes eftpos which is a win!

My partner and I went to see the Geelong Cats vs the Western Bulldogs. He bought us tickets to the Lounge by Peroni. The lounge is an upscale experience: you come and go between the lounge itself and the lounge's outdoor seating (seems you just have to put a coat on your seat and people will respect that). They serve... More

Poor surface and not marked for football as other markings on the ground. Oval shaped ground not the best for football. Our seats level C top level centre 4 rows from front. Good view of ground however sun in eyes Facilities are good for a regional ground, but not really a football ground
