As Brits we love that rugby started with us... Absolutely amazing to see the rise of the all blacks in such a short time of them taking up the game. Super interesting that the whistle and florin traditionally used to start every World Cup first game was not used in England for 2015.... No wonder we were so rubbishy!!!!!!

Travelled with a rugby mad overseas visitor, who put this place on their agenda. Great if you are familiar with NZ rugby history, but frankly a bit bland if you are a foreigner. I thought the curators could have done better given the richness and variety of NZ Rugby and the number of artifacts available in the museum. Nice try,... More

It is relatively small but its is very interesting for everyone if you are a local and already know about the sport or a foreigner and dont know much about it going into.

Its small but has so much to do for the kids and lots to read about for the adults. It covers lots of history and our boys would've stayed longer with the activities/games available.

We had a great time at the rugby museum! It was so interesting and very cheap for admission! Fun for children too and there are lots of drills you can do. Would definitely come here again!

A good couple of hours to a full day needed here to trace the history of the oval ball game here. Tracing the history from day 1.

The home to numerous mementos from New Zealand's colourful Rugby past. Not as big as would be expected as rugby is New Zealand's national sport. Does have an interactive skills testing area which is fun but shows the sign of abuse from unsupervised children. A pleasurable visit for any Rugby fan, could benefit use more information on items such as... More

It was a wet day in Palmerston North when we decided to go and see the Dinosaur Exhibition at the Te Manawa Museum complex. We also visited the Rugby Museum which is in the same building and showcases the game and it's history in New Zealand, it's a fantastic collection with loads to read with a couple of absolute treasures...
