A wealth of historical buildings

The rope making display was great. A lot of effort has gone into presenting buildings and displays to show life in an earlier age.

You can see from the setting and quality of the museum that care and love go in to its maintenance and improvement. The people who are a part of the museum as volunteers really care about the place, the history and the artefacts. The kids love it!

What an amazing place, They have put so much work into the village set up and although it looks small from the front, it's huge !! The staff /owners are warm and friendly, the information on everything is great :-) A really lovely couple of hours, thank you so much :-)

Visited the Museum today with my grandchildren. We received a friendly welcome and were provided with information regarding exhibits. It is a well maintained museum and a lovely way to spend a couple of hours. It is located not far from the esplanade and well worth a visit whether you are a local or visitor.

What a great place to visit in Hervey Bay. A great collection of local history as well as a vast array of everyday items now long lost, but here remembered for always. Allow at least a couple of hours to fully enjoy. A tribute to the volunteers who help to maintain and record our past. Well worth the entry fee.

History buffs this is the place to visit a lot bigger then it looks from the road plenty of buildings full of stuff from the local area and beyond . Well maintained and the volunteers were spot on. Worth a visit young & old.

We thought it was small but inside there is a lot to see. Very informative guides and live demonstrations. Worth a look.

So many beautiful pieces of history to see here, unfortunately they had a fire a while ago and lost some pieces but the community support is amazing and so is this delightful place!

I have now lived in Hervey Bay for over 5 years & kept meaning to visit It was well worth the time, Looks small from the outside but very big once you go inside (like Doctor Who's Tardis !!!) Very informative with 21 historic buildings & 12,000 exhibits The only negative thing I can say about it is there were... More

Thanks for your review. Sorry about the demos but being an all volunteer operation, we just do not have enough people to do them every day. We are lucky to have a solid core of volunteers who come in every Sunday for several hours and also whenever we have group visits. More
