I attended a small wedding at these gardens and what a beautiful setting it was. There were birds singing in the trees and water running gently in the springs, making for a lovely day. These gardens are presented beautifully and have trees from all over the world. The various areas are themed according to the particular plants and trees so... More

Our visit was over what turned out to be a rather wet weekend. It was grey and overcast with a threat of rain when we arrived. To our delight we were met by Tuis in the trees at the entry. This was enough for us to make this a memorable visit and we hadn't even got out of the carpark!... More

These gardens were devised to show flora from different continents. They have a good variety of flowers, shrubs and trees and also have pools and little bridges. Very pleasant to walk round.

While visiting Nelson we went to Gardens of the World. The write-up said there was 6 acres of gardens. There were several different gardens from different countries but we found it hard to see why each section belonged to that country. The rose garden was lovely with scented roses and the fountains and flowing streams were certainly different. It looked... More

Visited years ago but now the place seems to have dropped in standard in terms of less maintenance being done. A lovely expansive garden to wander through but seems a bit neglected now. The water gardens are a bit crass with the blue painted concrete and dyed blue water. We were the only car in the carpark on a Sunday... More

We visited this whilst visiting family in Nelson, it was so beautiful and a pleasure to walk through, a real hidden gem, ideal for a picnic, we took over 100 photos and would definitely return,

Visited this lovely garden on a Sunday afternoon and were amazed to find only one other car in the car park. Being from England where visiting gardens at the weekend is a huge hobby we expected to find lots of other people there. However, apart from one other family we had the place to ourselves. Ok the gardens are not... More

This venue provided a relaxing walk around 6 acres of garden. It was well maintained and provided a huge variety of plants. Lovely place for family picnic, especially for kids with guns for water fights, due to large areas of water. We thought it was sad that people were not paying the $5 per adult in the honesty box. I... More

Garden is out of town, if there is nothing else to do visiting the garden is OK. Not on top of my list!
