Spectacular views and an interesting part of the historic revew from the first days of ww2. Welcoming staff at the restaurant serves traditional dishes of norwegian food. And prices are low.

A secluded fortress, originally built to protect Norway against the Swedes around 1900-1995 became a local stronghold in April 1940. You can walk around in bunkers and trenches, visit the museum and cafeteria. Even the road up to the fortress is spectacular..

The history of the place is very interesting, but for the kids too young for it the place offers a lot more. A walk to the Svartåsen battery is recommended.
