Highly enjoyable

Very easy walk from the carpark to most of the artworks. We arrived at around 3:30pm on a 38C day and it was hot! Take lots of water. The climb up the rocks to see the final artworks and view of the plains was a bit of work for me (dodgy knee) but my husband and teens were fine. The view from the top is spectacular - greenery for miles. Well worth the visit.

Must do - for the Rock Art and the view
Sep 2021 • Family
This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Kakadu. The rock art was fascinating and it’s well worth the climb to the top of Ubirr. The view is spectacular. I

Best site for indigenous rock art
Sep 2021 • Solo
One of the best areas to see an indigenous rock art dating back 20 thousand years. Well preserved even after thousands of years in exposure. Well worth a visit

Ubirr and Cahill's Crossing
Jul 2021 • Couples
We went to Ubirr early in the morning so we could go to Cahill's Crossing at high tide to see the crocs chase the barra as they came over the causeway. What a show!!!
The rock art at Ubirr and the trip to the top of the rocky outcrop looking over Kakadu was simply amazing!!!!

Stunning Ubirr
Jul 2021 • Family
Wow!! Such a beautiful experience. We went for sunset and it was simply stunning. Definitely worth it and a highlight of our trip. Relatively easy walk up with rock art to view along the way. Even if you are unable to walk to the top there are plenty of viewing points along the way so well worth it.

Now we know why this is rated #1 in Kakadu!
Jun 2021
Both the rock art and the view from the escarpment were sublime! So worth the minimal effort for the rock art and excellent wheelchair access. Unfortunately the escarpment is not accessible for folks with mobility issues, but if you can it’s definitely worth the climb.
