The sunset at Ubirr is sensational. Access the site at around 4pm and look at the rock art and other sights then get ready for the sunset on the Lookout.

This place is awesome! The art work is unbelievable, and fascinating. The area is easily accessible, for the most part, and allows for more active people to climb for a view of the valley.

Great opportunity to view the beautiful rock art. Unfortunately no guides are available on weekends and the information boards cannot do justice to the history and stories that are a part of this place

When I went here with my family I was expecting it to be really boring- fortunately it was not! The indigenous art on the rocks was really interesting and gave me a greater understanding of the culture. The view from atop the rocks was spectacular!...More

Driving into Ubirr is just mainly scrub and bush so didn't know what to expect. Once here were very pleased we came. The rock art is very interesting but the view from the top of the plateau is amazing at this time of year. Very...More

The clifffs themselves are worth a visit and that the art is so old is impressive. If you climb to the top of the biggest rock you are more or less standing in the shoes of Crocodile Dundee - great view

Thankyou to the Bininj people for allowing us to visit Kakadu and Ubirr. This is a wonderful place to visit. It was a treat to go with a ranger and have some of the art, customs and history explained. Seeing the rock art and hearing...More

While much of the information given on this walk echoed the Nourlangie Rock walk, there were different dreaming stories with the different rock art. Climb to summit of Ubirr for sunset spectacular. Look across wetlands, and monsoon rainforest while standing in stone country.

Hi Janine We rocked up and a ranger was talking at around 9am. I think there was a group in front of us as well. Talks appear to be regular as they are popular and informative. From the carpark there is one track in and... More
