A short walk and then a brilliant swim in a lovely setting. The swim was particularly appreciated as in most places where you think you can swim you can't because of the croc. risk. Here is croc. free.
Edith Falls was one of our favourite spots. gorgeous to see and beautiful to swim in the top pools. Fair easy walk compared to what we did in Kakadu
We drove out to Edith Falls from Katherine and spent about 30 minutes climbing to the upper falls in very hot temperatures. Not many around and spent a few hours cooling off under the falls.

The heat here was an issue when we visited, intending to walk up the lookout and round the circuit. At 40 degrees we elected to walk around the water, having started the walk and thought better of it. Beautiful location and great for swimming

Stopped in to Edith falls for a look. Walked up to the upper plunge pool. It was absolutely stunning! Well worth the walk. Water temp was perfect and got to swim under the waterfall. Saw a large water monitor also swimming and sunning itself on...More
