The Lakes District Museum is situated in the heart of picturesque Arrowtown. The museum houses a fantastic collection of artifacts and information about the history of this gorgeous district. Suitable for all ages, the museum is fun for all ages as we take a 'hands-on' approach to our displays. Worth a stop if you're in Queenstown or Arrowtown. The area has a fascinating history that is well presented in the museum and kept me engrossed for a good couple of hours!

I loved this museum. I attended with my son on a reasonably busy Saturday and we were both caught up in the history of the town but also pre history of local wildlife and the Moa in particular. The sets were great and realistic. Well...More

The museum is next door to the Arrowtown bus stop so we popped in to check it out.. It cost us $10 each and we spent about an hour going around the various displays. We really enjoyed it, it's packed to the max with interesting...More

This is certainly worth visiting. The displays are varied and interesting, with items to attract adults and children alike. If you want to stop to read about and ponder all of the exhibits, allow a couple of hours for this. Good value for the admission...More

The free public access to the gallery was very good. Magnificent display of artworks. Information about Arrowtown activities was comprehensive.

Hi, The Connectabus takes about 25 minutes from Queenstown if you take the route that travels via Arthurs Point. This bus leaves Queenstown at 7.35am, 10.35am, 1.05pm, 5.20pm, 7.05pm and9.35pm. Coma and see us and we will... More
