This was the 2nd year in a row we have spent NYE at Lake William Hovell. It is a great spot for swimming, kayaking and just relaxing. We also went for some fairly tame 4WD'ing which was fun.

Very pretty area, lots of birdlife and crystal clear water. No camping available, but you're allowed to swim and do water sports. They also have bbq facilities. Main disappointment is that you're not allowed to walk the dam wall!

I'm a local from this area and love taking my dogs and the boat up to the lake for a fish or for a 4wd. There are also some great camping spots up here too! Very pretty! :)

Beautiful spot, good facilities. Busy on long weekend but not overwhelming. Great for sailing and kayaks and fishing off shoreline or in small low powered tinnies.

It was nice to visit the lake when it actually had water in it! We went on an investigation around the spill way and impressive outlook.
