There are some cultural centres in Western Australia owned and operated by the indigenous arts community. Waringarri is one. Visiting each gallery, one sees differences in design, use of colour and story. Highly recommended to broaden and deepen one's perception... More

This place exceeds expectations with wonderful local art using ochre and natural pigments to depict Kimberley storylines. If you are lucky you may even meet the artists who pop in to drop off latest works

We loved visiting this gallery- lovely artists, great staff and amazing products & art. And the fact that it's a non for profit business to help the local community is fabulous.

The local aborigines are there painting in the shade of one building, and there are two tours, one of the facility, including the wonderful gallery display of the people upstairs , and then the gallery which has extensive art works from locals, and silk prints, etc . Locals benefit from your purchases, so be a devil, lash out! The evening... More

A wonderful exhibition of local and artwork from further north. We were able to see local artists at work and thoroughly enjoyed our tour.

Loved our visit here. The artworks are amazing, the hand lock printed fabrics are to die for and the customer service is wonderful.

Call in, large collection of indigenous art, canvas, prints, screen prints, with a curator on site along with the artists in an adjoining building. Out here relaxed, reflect on the paintings as they should be, pick up a carved boab nut, look through the catalogues, short video and other gifts based on this indigenous area. See the ochre colours at... More

Kununurra boasts one of the best art centres in the country, with an extensive range of local Aboriginal art from the East Kimberley. The staff at Waringarri Art Gallery are friendly, knowledgeable and happy for you to browse at your leisure.
