Looks great if it had water. Understand there was a cyclone but 3+ months and no water. It's hot in airlie you guys need that lagoon open Can see the potential but missed out. Had heard it was great

We were told by a representative from Discover Queensland that the lagoon is open again after the Cyclone. It was NOT open at all. It still had a lot of work to do on it. Very disappointed kids.
it offers somewhere to swim that isn't the sea as that can get dangerous in the hotter months. there are lifeguards and the water is clean
We'd intended to have more of a look at the lagoon, but large parts of it are fenced off and clearly under repairs. The do seem well advanced and it probably won't be long before it's all open again though. Plenty of facilities and pleasant...More
How cool is this place. Kids had a ball and the area was big enough with plenty of room to move. Great for a cool off after a long walk of sight seeing.
Completely fenced off and under major repair work by the looks of it. Portable toilets with long queues the day Dawn Princess was anchored off shore. I am sure it will be worth the wait but it seems it may be a only wait?
