It gives you a very visual impact of how many people died. Very serene but sad place. So many young lives

War Cemeteries are part of history and are reminders to us of those who lost their lives in conflict. Most of the names appearing in this place are connected with 'The Cowra Breakout' and as such they have a place in history. Congratulations those responsible for the Memorial and it's upkeep.

This is a little gem, restrained and imbued with the tragedy and division which war brings to ordinary men regardless of birth or nationality. It was a particular pleasure to meet the landscape gardener who is planning further plantings of native Australian grass species to carry the eye to the paddocks beyond. To my mind a beautiful memorial.

War Cemeteries all over the world are a constant reminder of the horrors of war, and they way they are managed and cared for is of comfort for those whose relatives are buried within. This one is no exception.

Whilst this is not a must see it is well worth taking a stroll around the War Cemetery . It is very well appointed.

Once you have seen the holographic display at the Visitor's centre - the sacrifice on both sides is very moving.

Beautiful, well maintained Japanese War Cemetery, however we would have liked some more history on an information board. Our visit was very short. The Cemetery is close to town and Japanese gardens.
