Trinity beach is much more relaxed than either Port Douglas or Palm Cove. They have the safe stinger area to swim in and 3-4 cafes along the waterfront, which all provide good food and drinks

Cairns itself does not have a beach, but just 20 minutes north of the city is this great spot. There are lifeguards on duty, stinger nets in place and lots of nearby eateries to choose from.

The most beautiful place in the world. Weather was fantastic. The sea temperature was like stepping into a warm bath. Swam every day at the beach. Helicopter ride over the Great Barrier Reef awesome.

There are stinger nets and patrols for crocs. So as long as you stay in the nets you'll be fine.
