We visited here our first day on KI and met an awesome assistant who was chatty, knowledgeable but knew when to leave us to our own devices. Yummy honey tasting and the honey mead was mmm!

The Island Beehive is certainly worth visiting for anyone who likes honey. Honey products vary from soaps to ice cream with, as expected, a large range of traditional honey to taste and buy. Ideal for a morning tea when visting Kingscote.

The honeycomb ice cream is to die for. The coastal honey limited edition and also their vintage honey is worth checking out. It’s very unique in their taste. There’s also a lovely information area for kids and adults regarding lingurian honeybees etc.
