Very knowledgable staff who could not do enough to assist me in enjoying this part of Tasmania , lots of brochures and a good map provided at no charge

Staff are very enthusiastic and go out of their way to be helpful. Impressive considering these are all volunteers. There appears to be brochures available for every possible excursion. We left the centre with a very positive view of George Town and the excellent customer service was very much appreciated.

We got our $40 family George Town pass here and got good advice for how to get around most of the attractions within the day. Our day was: Bass and Flinders Museum Patterson Monument and carvings Watch House Quick shop at the Vinnies Heritage walking track Pilot Station Museum Light House Great little town for a sunny day out worth... We hired bicycles there and it was worth it. Staff had extensive local knowledge and extremely helpful.

I feel bad about giving a negative review, but I think that there should always be room for improvement. I will say that when I look at the previous positive reviews, I wonder if the lady that helped us was having a bad day or perhaps we were not on a good communication wavelength. We were asking about scallop pies... More

When I first went there it was shut and had no notice giving hours of operation or even days of operation. I realise it is run by volunteers and they are to be commended for their work but it is frustrating to not know whether to come back later or what. I went back the next day when they were... More
