Very historic and beautiful edifice

It is a bit of a shame that they have to charge a stiff admission fee for people to visit a Christian place of worship.

I like Cathedrals it's amazing the skill and cost they were to build . So I always visit when in a City . Cuenca Cathedral is one of the best I have seen .A mix of old and new ,beautiful relatively new stained stained glass windows . Great views from the courtyard of Cuenca old town . How lucky we were when we visited that we were able to see AiWeiwei exhibition in the Cathedral. The only place in Spain that it is being shown. Truly stunning. What I enjoyed most was the old and the modern living side by side. All of the stained glass windows except one, were modern. It was a delight. They really... More

My husband and I went into the Cathedral expecting to see the beautiful interior but we got so much more! There was an art exhibit inside with information about Cervantes and a large exhibit of Ai Weiwei. We watched film clips about the artist in his struggle for artistic expression. We were able to view his cell depictions from his... More

I had to pay too much to enter the cathedral, because the was an exhibition of some sort. A Chinese artist Ai Wi Wei , not very interesting. The only thing I liked was the view from a terrace of the Cathedral. Otherwise , not worth my while.

Currently this huge and historic building is hosting an art installation around the themes of acceptance tolerance and freedom of expression. €8 entrance.

Wanted to see the Catherdral interior but were diappointed to have to pay because of an exhibition of Ai Wei Wei art installations which we were not really bothered about. Felt annoyed we had to pay when we wanted to see an unobstructed view of the interior.

This cathedral hosted an Ai Wei Wei exhibit when we visited - very moving. But we were most surprised that this venerable cathedral has modern stained-glass windows; they make the space very relevant and current.

The light that floods this cathedral enhance the visit. Wonderful embiance. An exhibition by Ai Wei Wei was very appropriate and enhanced our visit. Fabulous. Another exhibition of modern art unfortunately hid the beautiful paintings in one area and the fabulous frescos on the ceiling were shadowed. Very disappointed. Well worth the €8 entrance fee.
