This is the history of the area, and very interesting. All the information is in Spanish, but some is very easy to interpret, because you have the displays. If you enjoy history at all, this is worth a stop.

This museum was free for us and contains some great Roman artefacts found in the area of Valeria and other sites near Cuenca. There is also a wonderful hoard of gold coins including pieces of eight from several periods of Spanish reigns, Carlos to Felipe.
