Small Wine Makers Centre - my favourite of the day

We loved the wines at the Small Wine Makers centre, it seems to be known under a few names but if you ask anyone in town about the Small Wine Makers they will give you the... read more

Looks attractive and quaint. There had been a storm several days before in Mudgee and noticed a Crain at the side of the property (clearing fallen tree) but all the 'open for wine tasting' signs were out, three actually. So we continued to drive in. We approached the cellar door and asked if they were open to the lady whom... More

We loved the wines at the Small Wine Makers centre, it seems to be known under a few names but if you ask anyone in town about the Small Wine Makers they will give you the directions. Great staff, really interesting and different wines from boutique, micro and small producers, my number 1 pick if you could only visit one... More

Not sure to what "Mudgee Wines" refers. Couldn't find Two Furlongs, but it is really worth a mention. It was New Year Day, and there was very little open. We had been given directions to High Valley Wine and Cheese, but they couldn't be bothered to be open. We continued along Ulan Road and discovered Two Furlongs. It was open.... More

This is a really interesting place and definetly not to be missed if you're serious about wine. We had a very good tasting here. A very nice and knowledgable man took us through the wines. His advice was excellent as there are more than a few pearls here. And, good on him for advising that we go to a few... More

Plenty of tastings to choose from but we went to Lowes all organic wines - converted in 2003, and to the Small Winemakers Centre who offer collections from five boutique vineyards. Walk through an ancient doorway into a real wine cellar beneath - cool and airy. Try Quiltys, Two Furlongs, and other award winning wineries which don't have their own... More

Had a fantastic night at mudgee wines. Nothing was too much trouble and we were so happy with the quality of wine and knowledge of staff that we went home with a boot full! We will definitely be back

We visited quite a few wineries at Mudgee, most very good, some just ok, but we definitely left the best to last with Mudgee Wines. Helpful and friendly staff talked to us about the wines, rather than just pouring wine, walking away, then coming back and saying "so what do you want to try next?", like they do at some... More

On a recent road trip to Mudgee which known for its red wines I found some startling white wines at Robert Stein Winery situated off Ulan Rd. The 2011 Half dry Riesling was one of the better ones I have ever tasted. And for the motor bike enthusiast there is a museum of old motor bikes including a 1950 Matchless,... More
