Leading up to Domes is a huge area of beach access to spending a relaxing week or two away from it all. Parking is readily accessible and plentiful close to the water.

We showed up in the morning , we didn't expect the water to be so rough for swimming - but we stayed quite a long time at the beach taking in the sun and watching the surfers -- there are some places at the beach...More

Domes is a famous surf spot. Highlighted by the closed Nuke Reactor, the palm tree shaded beach is what surfers dream of. The wave breaks right and hollow over the reef here, getting out can be tricky, but it can be done. I have not...More

Go to Domes only if you're a surfer - too dangerous otherwise. It can also be rocky. The hardest part is getting INTO the water and then getting OUT.

Best beach for beginner surfers. In good days (without big waves) you can catch your first one. Like I did it!!! I'm happy!!!

If you want to enjoy a quiet sunset on the beach this is a great location. We didn't swim here but a lot of people were and it looked like a great beach. There's easy parking too

Interesting history of the old dome that the beach is named after! Great area to surf or watch surfers! Shallow reef area, good winter waves

Or, if you are like me, just watch the surfers. Beautiful spot and you will find people setting up to rent boards and to sell smoothies or coconuts.

This is a famous beach among surfers. There's free parking but this is not a balneario, so there are no public facilities such as restrooms. It's worth checking out the dome of the old nuclear plant which you can see from a distance. There is a...More
