We did this hike but it is very muddy which makes some areas slippery. When we hiked there were a lot of clouds and we couldnt see the real views that people talk about.

It is the ultimate Maui hike. From this trail you see the lush beautiful sites of Maui that are shown in books and magazines. The terrain is tougher than first thought and after a rain the mud can be an issue. We fell a few...More

Super muddy but worth the hike. Bring walking sticks and all terrain shoes. The uphill was OK, but going down in the mud was the issue.

You'll want to be well hydrated and bring water with you. It is almost 5 miles total, just shy of 2.5 miles up. It is steep and it was muddy, with standing water in some spots. Many people had sticks or poles, personally I find...More

1500 foot accent in 2.5 miles. Challening but worth every step. Allow plenty of time so you don't have to rush. parking lot closes at 7pm. AMAZING views. One of the most memorable parts of our trip.

This is a challenging climb as you hike uphill with twists and turns for 2.5 miles. There are two waterfalls and the views are amazing. At the beginning of the trail, are cows as a farm is located right next to the trail. The trail...More

We stumbled across this hike randomly and it was the best one we did! It is rather difficult with the elevation, I was training for a marathon so I was OK but my husband needed several breaks! The views were insanely gorgeous the entire time...More

My husband and I are mildly fit and hike frequently. This hike was more difficult than I expected. It is basically uphill for 2 miles and it took us an hour and a half to get to the top. It had spectacular views all the...More
