The barong dance has music playing throughout while the cast dance and act. There is some slapstick comedy during the performance which we were able to appreciate and catch on camera. There is an opportunity for a photo before the performance. You can purchase a...More

Its a play not a dance. Seemed like to be enjoyed by locals, but seeing multiple tourists yawning and falling asleep speaks for itself. Cost 100k rupiah. I dont think this is worth your investment and you can spend your money elsewhere (unless you are...More

Thoroughly enjoyed watching the performance of the Barong with my partner. The costumes was fantastic and the performance was well worth it to see.

The story outline is printed on paper and distributed at the entrance. It took for one hour for this Barong & Kris dance. It will be more interesting if you wish to know about the Bali cultures and their religion. Performers are using their local...More

Its an okay event. It is actually a play, not a dance. They are telling you a mythical story through 5 acts including dancing and acting, accompanied by traditional Balinese Music. The procedure takes about an hour and you are sitting under a covered bleecher...More

Admission is about $7.50 per person, which is very expensive for local standards; it is the equivalent to 3 beers. The play is performed in an open theatre kind of setting. A paper with the story is provided at the entrance which makes it easier...More

This is a show featuring a Balinese folk tale including dance and acts . It's for around 45 mins . A bit boring for people who can't sit at one place . Not a must watch but good people who love art and history

Okay was shocked at the Rp 100,000 upon arrival. However after seeing the number of people involved worth every penny. I stopped counting at 20 performers. So $7.50 US is not bad at all. The performance was good. Would cost $25.00 in the States. The...More

Don't even think of going there. It was just awful. Most of the dance narratives were in local language and we were not able to understand at all. Compete waste of time & money.
