Seeing the artisan create a glass blown vase in the historic grist mill was very exciting. He is truly an artist who made the experience interesting and we gained so much knowledge about glass blowing. The shop displays original works of jewelry, ornaments and accessories. They even give classes! We would recommend a visit for yourselves!

Thank you for your voice of support. The many artists with work at the Mill get the credit for the wide variety of work on display. Everyone who makes glass at the Mill obviously likes sharing their passion and welcomes visitors to watch them at work. Eric More

I spent an hour with Dean Smiley as he calmly instructed me how to make a paper weight. He took away all my fears. He gently guided me and stepped back and simply watched until he was needed. It was rewarding, can't wait until next time.

Priest's Mill was not open when we went to visit on a Wednesday. The sad thing was that a lot of shops in Alexandrea were closed early this day and left phone numbers on the front doors or windows to call for service. This was at 3 p.m. and the weather was good.

I am sorry we missed you. Dean Smiley, our resident artist opens the studio to the public 5 days per week. Thursday to Monday inclusive from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Since there are 8 artists working out of our studio you may be welcomed outside Dean's "official hours" More
