Very cool and recognizable bridge... View from the top road is cool, but try to take some of the trails and observe down from below. It also gets you away from the hoards of tourists on the main street.

Wonderful views, well worth a trip. There's not a lot else to see once you arrive but we really enjoyed it once we got there.

A "must do" while in Ronda. Take the effort to walk down the path to the gorge for better views of the bridge. You get totally different experience viewing the bridge in the day and the night.

We came here to see this and we weren't disappointed! The views were fantastic. Loved sitting here adoring the bridge. We could stare at it for ages.

Construction commenced in 1751 taking 42 years to build, during this time fifty workers were killed. There is a large room above the central arch that was used for a variety of purposes, including as a prison. During the 1936-1939 civil war both sides allegedly used the prison as a torture chamber for captured opponents, killing some by throwing them... More

The bridge connects the old town with the new and crosses a deep gorge. From the bridge one gets great views of the countryside around Ronda. Better views of the bridge itself are from either side looking at the bridge at an angle. Beware that the bridge is narrow and cars pass quite close by.

Best to see from below, that is if you can figure out how to get to the Mirador del Puenta Nuevo on foot!
