The views from up there were simply amazing. If you are on Transfagarasan this is a must to visit. The traffic can be hard and some problems with the parking although...

The road towards the lake is spectacular with a lot of great views. If you want to avoid excessive crowding, take this trip in the morning. Also do not forget your camera because you will use it a lot :). Also if you want to...More

Stunning lake, great space to walk a bit after coming up Transfaragan (provide for those prone to motion sickness - this is a killer). Some stalls around selling curious and foods, but definitely not geared to handle the tourist-flock that it receives. Stunning views around...More

This is a very beautiful glacier lake. When we visited there were a lot of people. Yet it was an enjoyable trip. Leaving this my parting words would be must visit this beauty.

Do it as early in the morning as possible , later it gets very crowded. Beautiful lake at 2000. Good to know the weather forecast to avoid cloudy skies, may happen you will not see much. We were lucky!

The lake is quite small but the combination with the surrounding landscape looks like a painting. The only drawback is the mass of visitors and cars and some non-esthetic buildings that spoil the enjoyment of nature. For those who wish to enjoy themselves, it is...More

If you visit Romania this is a place you can't miss. The road to here, Transfagarasan is awesome and the view from here is breathtaking. Pack some warm clothes the temperature is pretty low even in the summer.
