The tower provides a good reference point. The railway station and Shopping mall is 13 minutes walk heading East. Staring with Kanovnicka st and then Lannova street.

Every town in central Europe seems to have a black tower to look out for the marauding armies which were everywhere. This one has a neat history, designed by an Italian who knew all about towers. The view from the top is worth the climb...More

When you approch the city center, there is one bit tower, this is the Black Tower. Unfortunately we are a little bit old to climb to the tower, but it was told that the view is fantastic. We just admired the 16. century tower.
