This is pretty little town dominated by the relatively large castle of thirteenth century vintage. Located in the south of the Czech Republic, Cesky Krumlov is a world heritage site. It is a nice walk by through the Krumlov Castle which is simple in design and furnishings. Photography is not permitted inside the castle. You can walk down into the... More

This is an average castle compared to other castles in prague and elsewhere in europe. This could be avoided if you are visiting Prague.

Cesky krumlov is nice .but if you are an European you would have already sampled the contryside.and if have been to Prague Castle then you would gotten the panoramic view of the city .so in Cesky krumlov it will just be a repeat of that view .but yes the castle of krumlov is beautiful. But if you elderly or kids... More

Must visit! The view is fantastic! The garden on the back is totally free. A very nice place to speed some time to relax.

There is so much history here to see you don't want to just rush through the site taking as many photos as you can. The architecture is amazing. The tower has great views of CK but the spiral staircase is narrow. The tower museum is interesting and takes about an hour to see properly. If you're interested in modern art visit... More

This region is full of castles, yet each one of them has a different story to tell, and carries its own charm. Do take the guided tour of the Cesky Krumlov Castle. Its a relatively short tour. The guide herself unlocks each section of the castle and takes us around, I found that quite interesting. Also spend time walking around... More

The castle is very impressive from below and offers amazing views over the town. There are 2 main tours available, one of the older areas of the castle and one of the newer, more recently occupied areas. Both of these can only be accessed by guided tour, you cannot self tour, so check the tour times and plan your day... More

The place is amazing and worth a visit. But when you take the English speaking tour, you have to pay the double of the normal Czech visit (I've never seen such practice somewhere else and find it pretty unfair), and you are even not sure to get a guide who can actually speak proper and understandable English. We could understand... More

I walked thru the castle grounds twice. The courtyards are great and the views for pictures are the best in town. I walked the gardens and was a bit disappointed in a lack of flowers and lawn care. It took me a while to find the entrance to walk up the tower. It's just past the gate on your left... More
