The architecture in Karlovy vary is amazing. The streets are filled with very expensive designer stores. Nothing to buy there is affordable.

There are 2 main streets along the Tepla river: the more beautiful one is the Stara Louka on the left side of the river. One of the reason is that you walk it and there are no cars nor other disturbing vehicles ... By walking it all along you reach the 2 beautiful colonnades: The Mill Kolonada and then the... More

The buildings here are just beautiful. I can't think of another town that I have visited with so many colorful and well maintained buildings.

There are two streets on either side of the river. One is called the stara Nuvo and the other one is this. Right at the beginning of the town ( after the massive exhibition hall used for the film festival ). Filled with beautiful medieval buildings, spas, restaurants and cobbled roads...Best part of this? This is a traffic free zone.... More

This area is packed with hotels, restaurants and life. It is just at the beginning of the colonnade's tour, so you will not miss it. Worthy taking some pictures and even have lunch in one of the many restaurants (some of them put tables over the river, in one of the two small bridges).

We were there on Easter Sunday so there was lots of action in the area. It was fun to watch people from all over as they strolled with their families. This area is beautiful and each building seems to be more beautiful than the last! There are lots of high end shops for those who like to shop.
