Possibly a bit hidden between the cathedral and the city hall, in one corner of the main square, this plague column should not be omitted when you visit Pilsen. Have a look at the breathtaking details and elaborate structure. Definitely a must for each visitor to the city.

Right behind the cathedral and few steps from the town hall. Nice historical column to remembering the hard times of Pilsen history.

One of the landmarks in the Republic Square. The shinny Plague Column was very beautiful, and the background buildings were also very attractive. A very good place to take some photos and memories. There were some wooden benches nearby that travelers can take a good rest and enjoy the views.

Near the immense Cathedral, on Republic's Square, you will find, on a corner, one of the most beautiful columns you can ever imagine! With its guided details, its architectural statements and its own significance, you would go bananas with all the composition! It does not take central stage on the Square, but by God, it a monument not to be... More

We traveled to Burno and decided to check out UNESCO sites along our way back to Vienna, Austria. We really enjoyed this stop for a very good espresso and a few pictures. The city center is lined with colorful homes and shops.

We saw several Plague Column's throughout our trip. The one in Pilsen was very nice with lots of detail . My photo doesn't capture that, but some of the other reviewers have better photos. It is in a nice old square.

The Plague Column is located in the main square in Pilsen next to the town hall and cathedral. The column was originally built in 1681 to protect Pilsen from the plague. The monument has some intricate carvings and is worth checking out when visiting the town square. One carving that was of interest to me is of a woman laying... More

which is worth seeing. I visit Pilsen very often and pass the column having the opportunity. I am not of a history lover but it is definitely worth stopping by and look at the works of old masters. Go there with my students almost every year and it makes us thing about how terrible the plagues were and what consequences... More
