Great local wine

We stopped in here and shared a bottle of local wine and cheeses. The waitress was very helpful with suggestions and gave us a brief education on Czech wines.

Very homely and intimate feel. Lovely couple running the wine bar. They are very knowledgeable and take great care with every course. You can feel how lovingly hand made everything is and even watchbit being prepared.

Stumbled across this place when we couldn't get into the nearby Local for a pre-dinner drink. Boy am I glad we did! Managed to get wine by the glass, seems like all the wines are Czech in origin (i didn't know there were so many!!). The information given was very informative and for me the quality of the wine was... More

Meeting a friend for a glass of wine and wanted to try a wine bar that I had never been to but heard nice things. It was a quiet Monday night in March but quickly filled up with locals and some tourists. The waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable about the wines they serve. He poured a taste for us... We were introduced to Vinograf on a Taste of Prague tour. A great selection of Czech wines and cheeses and a very warm atmosphere. We liked it so much that we went back after dinner the next night. A great place off the the tourist track...check it out... you won't be disappointed!

We came here on a Taste of Prague tour and tried a selection of different Czech wines accompanied by some tasty local cheeses. All were delicious. The setting was comfortable and atmospheric. We really enjoyed everything we tried here.

Wow, I am so glad we stumbled across this place... especially as it was only a few minutes walk from our hotel! As wine (and cheese!) lovers, my partner and myself decided to stop here on our last night in Prague. Although quiet (we were the only customers but it was 10pm) it was very lovely and had a nice... Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
