Looks like a collection that has been picked over, and all the best paintings removed. Lighting is dim and many paintings look uncleaned. Still, there are a few interesting things here, and if you have a strong interest in European painting even second-rate stuff is...More

If you love paintings and artwork and in particular Baroque art work you must see this exhibit. All of the masters are represented and set up so that you can truly enjoy the mastery of their skills. Enjoy.

It costs an additional 100Cz to visit the gallery which is house in the old stables. The gallery has been painted a sort of terracotta colour and consequently appears drab. Although you do get to see a couple of old masters much of the work...More

Be sure to allow plenty of time to really take in the wonderful history of this beautiful Castle. We enjoyed our visit as we also had discussions about the castle along the way.

The main art gallery is in the Sternberg Palace, also on Castle Hill but this is well worth the 100 Kroner price of admission particularly if you like late gothic art. There are some real gems here.

This gallery is not huge but I found the paintings very interesting in themselves as well as for their history. One in particular caught our imagination, never having seen anything like it before. The label called it a "Grid painted triple portrait" of the three...More

Your experience in Prague will never be complete if
you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched
from the west to the north, provide spectacular views
of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone
streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green
gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses.
Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history.
