The Czech Republic is famous for its beautifull architecture. But there are not only the treasures which are visible on first sight on the streets. Beneath the town is an other city. The one from before.

Nice bit of history

A short and sweet tour. Tickets were inexpensive and it gave some good background information. Definitely worth doing when in Prague.

Myself and my boyfriend did this tour and found it very interesting! Our tour guide Tomas was very informative and clearly enjoyed the history of the city as well as the telling of it. I would recommend this tour as you see parts of the city that you didn't expect to see!

For me this tour was a real waste of money at 400CZK . The day walks that were free lastest 4 hours were way more informative, this walk was for just about an hour. The guide spoke so fast it was hard to hear what she was saying, the book that she had to show us pictures of the past... More

We went on the tour late this afternoon. The tour, in summary, was found to be very informative and entertaining and very much in line with the description in the flyer.. enjoyed by 2 parents and 2 sons (one 10 and one 15 years old). The tour guide was perfectly friendly, charming and informative young lady who engaged with the... More

this tour provided a wonderful insight into the history of Prague - providing an insight into the history of the town, how buildings were raised and how the undergrounds we visited were originally at ground level - the windows / doors positioned in such a way as to make attacks on buildings more difficult and explained the way the city... The Under ground tour is well worth doing and it only takes about an hour. You will see some of the "old city" as it was hundreds of years ago. After visiting numerous locations you get a great insight in how the city used to be.

We came to the underground of Prague as part of a Tauck tour. We learned that at one time this area was at ground level. But then because of flooding officials built up the ground level. The tour also took us to many other areas that were part of Medieval Prague, including the Old Town Hall, the Astronomical Clock and... More

The Staff and tour guide were very friendly and personable. The tour led from just outside of old town square, and goes under the church/astronomical clock! The tour guide was very informative and entertaining! This tour was a great pick for our trip!

There were 4 of us on this tour, 2 sceptical adults and 2 teenage believers. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. Our guide was Victoria, she was excellent, she has an interest in the paranormal and was very enthusiastic about that side of the tour. However if you find the idea of ghosts a bit hard to get behind, she was... More

The underground of Prague during the war had an interesting history. Unfortunately, the elderly woman who gave us the English tour, spoke a broken English with a strong accent and was very difficult to understand. The tour took about 1.5 hours. The underground is under the Old town Hall and we exited under the beautiful paintings on the ceilings. I was... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
