We enjoyed seeing this market that has been existence for centuries. If you are looking for locally produced "souvenirs" and crafts come here. Also fresh fruit and good eats for reasonable prices.

I really enjoyed the market. It had a nice mixture of culture, souvenirs, and even some food. I would highly recommend taking the time to walk around a little. I was able to find several gifts that were perfect for my friends and it was a wonderful cultural experience!

You will find most of what you need for souvenirs here at reasonable prices. They don't really negotiate but you don't really need to. Its not very large so you will get through it quickly

This market is really near to the city square, not on the GPS so you might want to ask around for the famous market here. This one has lots of Czech gems from scary witches and marionettes. It also has a great deal of local food, chocolate and small cheap but not so cheap souvenirs. Shop wisely!

We came across the market by accident. It's positioned in a pedestrian street and is probably only 50 stalls selling souvenirs, fruit and some baked goods. I actually saw one stall holder bringing out some of the goods from one of the shops, so I suspect they are linked. Just another way of selling. All the goods that were here... More

We visited this market together with my wife during our stay in Prague. This market available since 1232 and it's a really fantastic fact. However mostly you can buy stuff specialized for tourists so it's a little bit disappointing. Anyway worth to spend some time here.

This is an excellent Sunday market to buy anything from trinkets, local made momentos, paintings and much more. The price is reasonable and itr' not far from the main square. I was here last Sunday with my buddies and their wives and had some good bargains

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
