Never before have I quite felt that surroundings have as efficiently mirrored a theme as here. Calling by at lunch time so hardly when this bar is in full swing, I still could sense how pitch perfect this spot is for Absinthe lovers. It's special & very interesting here indeed.

Walked past, and had to go in and see what it was all about. Met by friendly staff, who explained about the drink. We then tried some, the burnt the drink with sugar, and then we had it with water, altogether a total unique experience, as must if you are in Prague, thank you.

When in Prague, this is worth a visit as it is a quirky little treasure. Having never had Absinthe I wanted to give it a try, and saw it for sale in tacky souvenir shops all over the city and then stumbled over this bar, and couldn't resist going in. I explained to the bar girl it was my first... More

I really wanted to stop here because I've had absinthe once before and loved it. It has a black licorice or anise flavor which I know is not for everyone but I love it. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. I told her I wanted a cocktail but I also wanted to have straight absinthe to sip on and told... More

Lovely place with great decor in city center . We have chosen tasting plate which came with four pure shots of absinthe. That was crazy strong. Just manage to drink that. Felt dizzy. We had as well absinthe beer which was pretty good

They have an endless list of different types of absinthe. Theres absinthe shots , cocktails and even chocolates. Even if you are not a big drinker you should visit, the Prague Colada sweet cocktail is delicious for people who are not keen on shots. We sat at the bar to watch the friendly bartenders prepare absinthe. They put it on... More

Never had Absinth? then no better place to try it. We went in as complete novices, the bar staff are fantastic, they told us about the two types of Absinth and we decided to start off with those. These and a few cocktails later we emerged. A great evening.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
