First of all don't waste money and buy the photography permit. Everyone takes pictures without it. It's a very nice castle to spend at least half a day in. There is the change of guards at 12 noon each day. A must visit.

Instead of our early morning jog we decided to walk up to the castle at around 6am, apart from the guards we seemed to be the only people there. Wonderful opportunity to view all the buildings, churches, squares and gardens. We were not interested in...More

I have never been in a better human built place on earth -taking marvels as the piramids (human built?) out-. An astonishing medioeval fortified city rather than a mere castle. I literally transported to the medioevo. Words will never be fare to describe this place....More

The castle certainly was nice to walk through. However it was very busy and there was a line for the security check. Fortunately this didn't take very long and its a good thing they do a certain check. We weren't in the mood to visit...More

Your experience in Prague will never be complete if
you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched
from the west to the north, provide spectacular views
of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone
streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green
gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses.
Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history.

The castle is a small village within a wall, you can pay to go into individual parts, sit and enjoy a meal with an incredible view or wonder around, so do not put a time limit on this, just enjoy. Part day, all day and walk... More
