This square is situated on the site of the former moat between the Old and New Towns. The large open space near the medieval city centre inspired the construction of a number of significant buildings at the turn of the 20th century, such as the Municipal House (Obecní dům) near the Powder Tower (Prašná brána), the Hybernia House (Dům U Hybernů) and the Jiří z Poděbrad Barracks. A large part of the square is now a pedestrian zone connecting the two large shopping centres Palladium and Kotva.

This square has a big shopping mall, where all tourists go. What no one knows, is this pizza nuova restaurant, which serves the most delicious Italian food. Moreover, there are many trams crossing, so it is easily accessible. Also, the yellow metro line can take...More

The trdelnik stand here always has a least a little line... because it is wonderful! The market and food stands set up during the week for full of beautiful things and tasty food. A great place for a quick inexpensive lunch!

The republic square is a hub for the metro and bus and tram stops. Also quite a few walking tours meet here.

Used to be a nice square in front of the shopping arcade but now it has small 'temporary' food and drink stalls set up with very over priced unhealthy fast food served from grotty stalls with no seating. Rubbish tossed away everywhere. Only really saved...More

Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square
represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of
the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the
square watches over your spending spree in countless
shops and retail stores lining the entire square,
which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping
street. When tired or broke, you can explore the
city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town

Agree with contacting TA on this one: it's the way that the attraction is listed (probably started by one of the first reviewers long ago.) Can't imagine it would be difficult to correct.
