The sculptures that memorizes the victims of communism and totalitarianism

From the entrance of the park, you will see a set of sculptures that memorizes the victims of communism and totalitarianism. That is totally shocking.

This is definitely one of the venues you need to head to in order to get photos of Prague's bridges from a different angle. Be prepared to walk, sometimes uphill. Prague is very walkable in all directions and this is worth the extra effort.

Letna is very nice and big park where you can run, roll skate, drive a bike or just take a picnic basket and spend some relaxing time with your family and friends. There are several playgrounds for kids to play, you can find several buffets shops where you can find some fast foods and beer or you can visit a... More

This is a beautiful park to go running in, to sit in the beer garden, or to chill out in a hammock. The best thing to do here for me, is to watch the sunset. The sun sets behind the park, but it is my favourite place to watch during sunsets are the buildings that are touched by the sun's... More

What a lovely stroll. You can walk all up through the park and get to the castle this way which avoids the crowds of Charles Bridge. The park is beautiful. We visited in Autumn so the colours of the trees changing from green to gold and orange were just gorgeous. There is a skate park at the top which is... More

Bit of a hike, but you can see the whole layout of the city. It is on the other side the river, so it is on the same side as a Prague Castle, so it's a little bit uncommon view of the city, but totally worth the trip.

Visit this park and you'll have a beautiful view over the city of Prague. Best to visit at night (or in the early morning).

The park is nice and safe. I walked in the middle of the night and did not feel terribly scared at all. It has stunning views of the river and bridges and of the whole city. Would recommend.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
