One of the symbols of Prague, the Church of the Virgin Mary Before Tyn is the dominant feature in the Old Town. The church was built in the 14th century and used to be a primary place of worship for foreign merchants visiting the city.

We were lucky enough to visit this church while the organist was playing. Beautiful experience as well as outstanding church altars.

It was good to hear the organ being played as Mass started on Sunday evening at 21.00. What a shame I couldn't play it!

Definitely one of the most beautiful monuments of Prague! By day, or by night, the view is impressive. You will be surprised the see the "Adam" and "Eve" towers (one is slightly thinner than the other). We happened to be on Prague's Old Town Square...More

It's all been said here and it is all true. When I was growing up in Prague the Tyn church was just part of the "landscape". Before all the tourists. We walked by almost daily. I only got to appreciate it fully in the later...More

Only opens about 10.00,get there early,as the line up soon appears. Beautifully decorated, sadly they built some buildings right infront of the main entrance, which is accessed thru a small passageway between those buildings. Fortunately the magnificent towers and skyline are not blocked.

This is one of the landmark churches in Prague located in the Old Town Square. There are specific opening hours and no photography allowed inside.

Pay careful attention to the hours the church is open. It is closed on Monday. As others have pointed out, the entrance is not obvious. From the central square, one goes between two cafes and down an alley to the church doors. There is no...More

This dominates the Old Town Square. And yes, you haven't had too many beers....one steeple is larger than the other. Check it out at night, when each little peak is lit from the inside with orangey, lantern lights reminiscent of Hogwarts. But enough blasphemy of...More

Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents
the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is
bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický
square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle
in the background, is probably the most beautiful
square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere
of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and
squares, and stone towers blend together with the
